'During Helms Deep?? Oh dude, break up': Girl scrolls on her phone when watching LOTR for the first time, raising huge red flags for her Tolkeinite boyfriend

We're passionate people and we love to share our passions with the people we love. All of this started as young lads in the sandbox, finding the coolest rock and taking it immediately to our moms to show them. Like that child in the sandbox, every Lord of the Rings fan has attempted to share their love of Middle Earth with those around them. Although it's tough to persuade your family to watch over 19 hours of movies (I'm including the Hobbit's obviously), occasionally our family members will still indulge our endless quotes, fun LOTR facts, and our ~completely platonic~ love Aragorn son of Arathorn.

It's okay if your family doesn't get your love of LOTR, however, when a true fan finds a girlfriend, she must cherish the Hobbits' trek to Mordor just as much as we do. Otherwise, that's a red flag.

We had both been massive fans of the trilogy since we were little kids and he was so excited to show the movies to her. We both sat down and watched Fellowship with her for the first time, and she was exactly like this. Obviously didn't care, wasn't paying attention, and when she did pay attention it was to ask dumb questions and mock what was going on. She even told me to get a life after I took a moment
